The Milwaukee Art Museum was a beautiful part of Milwaukee's Lakefront for many years. It's world renown had made it a common sight for anything Milwaukee related weather it be travel brochure or websites of old.
It has long had it's signature Calatrava architecture damaged by high winds and lack of maintenance but inside some of the art still survives. Without climate control paper products have been disintegrating and mold has started on some canvases. Ivory and wood has cracked or warped. Some of the items have been looted a long time ago but a few still remain. The once white hallways of the Calatrava wing are now dirty and disgusting. Broken windows have let seagulls and squirrels have run of the place but I'm not sure you'll be able to get your hands on that cool piece of art for your post-apocalyptic pad without a fight from some of the museum's other inhabitants.
